Christmas Cakes 2013
I realise you probably don’t want to think about Christmas just yet, but if you would like a delicious, moist boozy Christmas cake, it is my job to get on with it now for you! The fruit for my luxury cakes is soaked in a brandy or sherry ‘bath’ for a few days before being lovingly baked. They are then regularly fed with more brandy or sherry to ensure they are as moist and delicious as can be.
The larger family cakes are marzipanned, iced and decorated with your choice of edible adornment – traditional or modern. I will also be making my ‘mini cakes’ which are ideal as gifts for teachers or friends who live alone and don’t need a larger cake. The mini cakes are top iced with marzipan and icing, wrapped in festive cellophane to maintain their moisture, then decorated with an edible topper of your choice and presented in a clear gift box.

All cakes are made to order using only the finest quality ingredients including raisins, sultanas, currants, candied peel, cherries, pineapple, apricot, lemon and orange zest, mixed nuts and of course mixed spices. I do not use any artificial colourings or preservatives.
